About Us William E. LaRoche founded LaRoche & Associates in 1979 after completing 20 years of service with DeGolyer and MacNaughton as a Senior Vice President and Director. LaRoche Petroleum Consultants, Ltd. (LPC) was formed in 1996 when Richard G. Green and William M. Kazmann joined Mr. LaRoche. LPC is now one of the fastest growing petroleum consulting firms in the country and has seven partners with experience in both major oil companies and small independent companies. Four partners have previous experience at larger petroleum consulting firms, while three partners previously owned small independent oil companies. With this background, we understand the critical role independent reserve reports play in completing oil and gas financial transactions and have the skills and judgment necessary to perform fair and reliable reserve analyses. Our staff consists of 20 professionals including engineers, geologists, geophysicists, engineering analysts and administrative personnel. This diversity gives LPC the experience and technical ability to perform reserve and integrated engineering and geologic studies, including geophysical and reservoir simulation work. We utilize ARIES, MERAK, OGRE, or PHDWin for reserve and economic analysis, according to client preference. We use PETRA and GeoGraphix software for mapping and Eclipse software for reservoir simulation. Geophysical analysis is provided in our office on our SMT (Kingdom) and SeisVision workstations and we are also capable of offsite analysis on Landmark and GeoQuest. LaRoche Petroleum Consultants, Ltd. has extensive experience in merger and acquisition evaluations, field studies and reserve reports, both domestically and internationally. We are experienced in evaluation of non-conventional reservoirs, particularly coalbed methane and shales. Our merger and acquisition experience is not limited to the evaluation phase. During the post acquisition, or transition phase, we often work with our clients to rapidly target upside potential as well as assist in the identification and subsequent divestiture of non-strategic assets. This helps our clients integrate the new properties into their system quickly and with a minimum of added internal overhead. Our technical staff has significant reserve analysis experience in all of the U.S. producing basins and most of the basins around the world, with over 30 years experience, on average, per engineer. We offer high quality, independent technical evaluations; however, due to our lower overhead cost structure, we can offer our services at lower costs as compared to peer group petroleum consulting firms. Our staff works on an independent basis, or if requested, as an extension of your staff in a team environment. Some of our major clients have included: Ascent Energy, Inc.; Associated Energy Managers; Bank of Texas; Barclays Capital; Comerica Bank; Compass Bank; Dallas Production Company; Devon Energy Corporation; EnCap Investments L.C.; Fremont Energy; Hunt Petroleum; Longview Production Company; MBOE Oil & Gas; PEMEX Exploration & Production; Quicksilver Resources, Inc.; Rising Star Energy; Ross Smith Energy Group; Ryder Scott Oil Company; Sundown Energy, Inc.; Star Resources; Texas Capital Bank; Toreador Resources Corporation; Trek Resources, Inc.; United Oil and Minerals, L.P.; Wilco Properties, Inc.; Williams Energy Marketing & Trading; and Wynn-Crosby Energy, Inc. We, at LPC, look forward to discussing your engineering, geological and geophysical needs with you to design a cost-effective strategy to help you attain your objectives.
